The Australian craft beer industry is made up of people who are incredibly passionate about great beer, so it’s no surprise that there are also some great friendships between brewers.
Our co-founder Dave has been friends with Jayne from Two Birds, Lachlan from Grainfed and Tracy and Rich from BentSpoke for a long time, travelling together to beer hotspots around the world and having a brilliant time doing so.
This year they decided it was time for a reunion closer to home, so they headed to BentSpoke’s Braddon brewery to celebrate their friendship with a collaboration brew.
Taking the Pith is a Belgian IPA that is full of citrus notes, thanks to the orange peel added to the whirlpool and again during dry hopping. Strawberry cream esters, slight clove phenolics and a robust bitterness come together to deliver a beer that celebrates great brewships!
