It's a riff on our Steam Ale - essentially a new world "double steam" beer. Collaborating on the brew stand were Two Birds' Jayne Lewis, Hop Product Australia's Dave Edney, Goat co-founder Dave Bonighton and current Goat head brewer Ian Morgan. Australian Cascade hop flowers and HPA’s experimental 035 variety were added in the whirlpool and Galaxy hops in the fermenter. The resulting beer was fermented with California Common yeast. The result is a hazy, hoppy, happy birthday brew suitable for celebrating 20 years of rockin’ beers!
Hazy and golden, much like our memories of 1997...
Tropical and citrus hop aromas reminiscent of pineapple and grapefruit, with mild fruit esters.
Medium bodied with light malt sweetness and strong hop bitterness.
Wyeast California Common yeast.
Gladfield Pilsner and Gladfield Wheat Malt.
Australian Cascade hop flowers, HPA Experimental Variety 035 and Galaxy - lots and lots of Galaxy!
