This is the second installment in the Barrel Breed program - an Imperial Stout. Brewed using black, chocolate & crystal malts and East Kent Goldings hops, it’s a traditional, English Style Imperial Stout, with a whisky twist. We sent this Imperial Stout in at around 11% abv, and it came out at 12.1%! It’s a full-bodied rich beer, high in alcohol, designed to be poured into a glass and shared. Drink it alongside blue cheese, or chocolate pudding with vanilla ice cream. Being high in alcohol this beer will age and improve for potentially many years to come. Time will mellow the bitterness, bring the malt forward and create gentle sherry-like characters. But by all means drink it now if you prefer!
