Where to Goat

Outlets

We have around 90 Melbourne bars carrying our Hightail or SteamAle on tap these days. These are generally inner city establishments interested in providing better beer alternatives for punters.

Our packaged beer goes out to bars, bottleshops, restaurants etc right around the country. Mostly to small, specialty places but Dan Murphy’s, Vintage Cellars and First Choice stores carry us nationally too.

In the past we’ve tried to list all our stockists but as we slowly increase distribution it just gets a bit difficult to keep it up to date so we’re not even going to try that on this site. We will be profiling outlets from time to time though on this page so stay tuned.

    getting desperate!

  2. Tom Says:

    G’day Wayne,
I have found a place for you.
    Boah – 100
Bridge Mall, Ballarat, ask Mark for some Surefoot.
    Cheers!

  3. Shane Duncan Says:

50th birthday,I really like the beer.

    Thanks Shane

  4. cam Says:

  5. Andrew Says:

I had been asking you guys to bring Goat to Sydney, now that you almost have,
I’ve moved to Brisvegas… any plans to bring Goat to the sunshine state?

  6. Wayne Johnston Says:

What bottle shops in Melbourne would still have
    stocks of Surefoot Stout?

  7. chris Says:

Can you give me the name/address of a bottle shop in or around Mt Waverley
that stocks hightail ale? I’m coming into town from the USA on Monday and want to be able to get my fix ASAP.

    Thanks,
    Chris

  8. Sam Says:

Does the Goat ever visit the UK (specifically London)?

  9. Notalent Says:

Chris, there is (at very least) a Dan Murphy’s in Glen Waverley
(next suburb over) – they stock HTA. Hope this isn’t too late for you.

  10. Jason Says:

I was wondering the same as Sam (Dec 18th). Although they
have some great ales here, as an Aussie in London I do still miss the Goat. Any chance in the future of international distribution? You could try through Walkabout pubs…not sure how that would go
down with another brand that I won’t name (and would rather prance naked through the fires of hell than drink) that starts with “F”.

  11. Nectar Says:

Mountain Goat is available at Nectar Beer & Wine Specialists in Brisbanes West End.

  12. Andrea Says:

Whoo, so I read about the double hightail longnecks. I was fretting over when I was going to find time to get to a reputable beer purveyor to get myself some, thinking “why can’t I get this somewhere a little more suburban?” Then I looked up Slowbeer and found that it’s 10 minutes walk from work. The goat has made my day!

  13. Dave Says:

Any Goat around Manly NSW? The steamier ale the better! Good stuff Goats!

  14. Dave Says:

    Yes Dave,
Check your Vintage Cellars stores, or Dan Murphy’s.
    Should find it there…
    Enjoy,
    Dave

  15. Bill Says:

Ooh! I’m really looking to get me some Goat. Any plans to get the stuff over to the States anytime soon? I know we aren’t known for our outstanding beers but some of us do enjoy a good one. :)

  16. Dave Says:

    Hey Bill.
There’s some great US beers around, some of us Goats have had some incredible beers in Portland, San F, San Diego, Colorado. Can’t wait to go again.
The Bevmo stores stock us in California, so we’re already there.
Hope you can get your hands on some…
    Cheers,
    Goats.

  17. Ben C Says:

    Hobart, Tasmania?

  18. Dave Says:

    Hey Ben,
Yup. Try Charlie at Polkadot Liquor – 0448 237 935.
    He’ll sort you out.
    Thanks for the mail,
    Goats.

  19. Patrick Says:

    Hey Guys,

Discovered your excellent Steam Ale at the Collaroy Beach Club on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

Do you sell merchandise eg tshirts, hats online or over the phone.

Foster’s has just sold off the last of its soul. Now is your time.

    Patrick

  20. Dave Says:

    Hey Patrick,
We don’t really sell merch online, but we’d be happy to chat over the phone about sizes, addresses etc…
    03 9428 1180.

Glad you liked the Steam Ale!
    Cheers,
    Goats.

  21. mike Says:

    Hey,

I was over in Melbourne last week and tried your beer, great stuff!, Almost as good as our Kiwi beers!!, seriously though, really nice drop.

  22. Dave Says:

    Thanks Mike!

  23. Col Taylor Says:

    Hi,

Can I buy the Black IPA anywhere in the Newcastle/Lake Macquarie area? Cheers
    Col

  24. Dave Says:

    Hey Col,
Only place I could think of is Warner’s By The Bay. But, I happen to know they’re out – cause we were up there last week. Not much help, I know.
That was a Cross Breed we did back in Feb/Mar, and I would think its all long gone.
We do hope to do it again next year tho’ so stay tuned…
    Cheers,
    Goats.

  25. clayton maddux Says:

Saw some of your beers in BeerAdvocate magazine.

I was wondering if you know where I can purchase any of your beers anywhere in Texas in the United States. More specifically Austin.

    Any info would be helpful.

    Thanks!

  26. Dave Says:

    Hey Clayton,
We’re just in BevMo stores in California for the moment…nothing in Texas.
    Yet.
    Cheers,
    Goats.
