• Do you open the brewery to public?

    Absolutely. We’re open on Wednesday and Friday nights from 5pm. We have all our beers on tap (including one off special brews) and we make mighty good pizzas too, with a large range and nightly specials to choose from. You might even catch the brewers finishing up for the night, either in the brewhouse or enjoying a knock-off in the bar. On Wednesday nights we also have a free brewery tour at 6:30pm. No need to book, but if you have a large group we do appreciate a heads-up. We’re at 80 North St, Richmond.

  • Do you sell drinks other than beer at the bar?

    We have some good Australian white and red wines and the excellent Two Step apple cider. We also have David Baker’s locally distilled specialty single malt whiskies, gin and vodka. Of course, soft drinks are available too.

  • How do you get the goat into the beer?

    The truth is we don’t actually put goats in our beer.

  • Can you have bands play at the brewery?

    As we have residents living close by, it is a condition of our trading licences that we are unable to host live music. That said, the brewers have put together a cracking playlist for us all to enjoy.

  • Did you start out as homebrewers?

    Yes, it all started in Dave’s backyard in Elsternwick. We’ve still got some detailed brewing journals highlighting the highs and lows of Dave’s early work. Some of his hits were the Salmon’s Runnin’ Stout, Leroy Brown Ale and the Black Dog Dark Brown. The lows we’ll keep hush on.
