Bigfoot Double Stout 2017

Over the past 20 years we’ve brewed almost every style of beer possible and our brewers are always itching to get started on the next new one. But this winter, we’ve been feeling a little nostalgic and so we’ve resurrected the Bigfoot Double Stout. For many years Bigfoot was our go-to winter brew but the last time we brewed it was back in 2013, so it’s fair to say this is a long overdue comeback.…

Bubble and Squeak India Brown Ale

After a busy few months of limited releases, single keg releases, pilot batches, Rare Breeds and Barrel Breeds, we found ourselves with a number of odds and ends around the brewery. But what to do with these hidden treasures? We don’t like to see anything go to waste here at Goat and so began our long-standing tradition of Bubble and Squeak brews.…

Australian International Beer Awards 2017

To be recognised at the Australian International Beer Awards is an incredible feeling and we are still buzzing here at the brewery after taking home a total of nine medals and two trophies. There’s a lot of time, hard work and dedication that goes into making good beer happen and we want to say a huge cheers to everyone, not just here at Goat but at all the breweries, bars and bottleshops across Australia.…

In-Breed: Silence of the Rees Coconut Porter

When the cold weather starts to creep in, we brace ourselves for one of the noisiest times in the brewery: footy season. Breweries aren’t known as places of peaceful serenity but when our Goats get talking about their teams it’s hard to get them to stop, particularly die-hard Tigers fan Alana. This also means that like all loyal Tigers supporters, Alana is on the receiving end of some friendly ribbing from the other Goats.…

Quetzalacatenango Infernal Pale Ale

Our brewer Kenny lived in Central America and spent time deep in the jungle in a Guatemalan insane asylum cultivating “the merciless peppers of Quetzalacatenango”. It’s also where he got his inspiration for our 2017 GABS festival beer. American Ale and Wheat malts provide just enough body to support an intense hop bill that’s bursting with tropical and citrus character.…

Mörk and Maker Mocha IPA

All good things come in threes and our latest collaboration brew is testament to that. For our latest specialty beer we teamed up with Maker Fine Coffee and Mörk Chocolate to create Mörk and Maker Mocha IPA, a medium bodied, refreshingly hoppy ale with a rich cocoa and coffee flavour. This beer is the result of three separate brews.…

Easter 2017 Brewery Opening Hours

We won’t be gone for too long though, as we’ll be back to our usual hours from Wednesday 19th April from 5pm.   EASTER OPENING HOURS Wednesday 12th April: 5pm-10pm Friday 14th April: CLOSED Sunday 16th April: CLOSED Wednesday 19th April: 5pm-10pm    …

Barrel Breed Barley Wine 2017

Barley Wine was our first foray into barrel aged beers way back in 2015 and we haven’t looked back since, continuing to expand our Barrel Breed programme each year. For this year’s release we took inspiration from our previous releases but added a new element, using barrels from our good mates at Starward Whisky here in Melbourne.…

Rare Breed Attack of the Killer Hops IPA

Our Brewers love IPAs and the hoppier they are, the better. They’re always pushing for more and more hop flavour and with our latest Rare Breed they’ve taken it to the next level. The combination of Chinook, Amarillo and Citra already delivers big hop flavours, but we’ve gone one step further and added some Calypso into the mix as well, a hop variety we’ve never used in a brew before.…

Good Beer Week 2017
