What’s pouring at the bar? Glad you asked…

In short, it’s hop central in here at the moment so get down here if you love hops.

We’ve got a revamped batch of IPA in da house – we brewed it with plenty of Crystal malt, Cascade hops and added bucketloads of Galaxy flowers late for good measure. 5.7% alc with lots of tropical fruit characters. Better than a Pina Colada for quenching your summer thirst.

We are loving NZ hops and in a vain attempt to relive a trip to the Land of the Long White Cloud last year, we have whipped up a NZ style Pale Ale. Vienna and Munich malts give it biscuity and toasty characters and Riwaka flowers add citrusy, marmalade-y aromas. And there you have it – Riwaka Pale, 4.6% alc.

We’ve also got Fancypants making it’s first appearance for 2010 this Friday! It gets a little fancier every time we brew it and this time is no exception. Lots of yummy Vienna and Crystal malt provide a base for us to squash plenty of hops into it. We used Cascade hops throughout the boil, hopbacked it with Galaxy and Riwaka flowers then dry-hopped it in tank with more Riwaka flowers. guess you could say it’s thrice hopped. It’s rich, malty and fruity and guaranteed to move fast, so make sure you do too. 4.9% alc.

We’ve also got the usual suspects on tap (Hightail and Steam), Randy is doin’ its thang and we’ve even got some local Victorian cider in bottles.
