After 12 years of Goating with unchanged packaging we have just done over our labels, 6 packs and cartons. We asked the Goat Army what they thought needed attention and then we found a great local co called Freeform to help us get it all together. Pallets are just leaving the brewery now so you’ll start seeing it in stores from now on. Hope you like it. Would love to hear your thoughts either way. Cheers, Cam.
Very different, but still the same. I like it (I think – need to see it in the wild).
Yeah – much stronger, guys. Nice werk.
I was worried something would get lost in the translation but the new cartons, 6 packs and bottles look sweet. Nice job fellas! Please get somewhere to consistantly stock Goat where I live before I die of thirst!!
Ta for the message Derek. Where are you based? Cam.
I really like the new and refined branding scheme.
A great tasting beer deserves a great tasting branding system and i think this does a lot to strengthen the name. The old packaging drained the impact of the logo.
Now i think its on the mark with the logo being the hero.
The soft earthie tones of the 6 pack case compliments the rusty red bottle which will go far in cut through on the shelves.
MY ONLY CONCERNs, I HAVE TWO OF THEM:
1 – and this is from a designer who is highly meticulous – the drop shadow on the red logo. As a general design rule, drop shadows on anything red doesn’t work – in this case i think the shadow is an unecessary addition as the red contrasts very well on the light brown.
2.the label on the bottle appears silver – but the 6 pack & cartons is a shade of brown – not sure why all are not the same colour scheme to give unity and consistency.
Either way – your moving in the right direction – well done.
Nice work. Glad to see the logotype still intact!
Cheers
Looks good to me. The logo is now very strong so branding is strengthened to give cut through on the busy retail shelves.
My only concern is the labels on the bottles are different in colour to the 6 pack carton, which is a shade of brown. For consistency in the identity of each type of beer, they should all share the same colour scheme.
